[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Like you, there is greatness inside of me that has been wanting to get out.  We all have it. How do I know this? Before we are created by a Creator that is Awesome and it has been referenced that we are made in their image.

My name is Yorrelle. A country girl, born and raised in Augusta, Ga. I am a sweats kinda person who rarely wears makeup and prefers to walk barefoot.

I enjoy Disney movies and happily ever after movies and I root for the underdog. I enjoy reading self-help books and studying the Bible and going to thrift stores. I love happy music, friendly people, and good coffee with lots of cream and (yes) brown sugar. I enjoy one-on-one conversations and avoid crowds and huge parties, although I love singing on stage. I love being on stage, but can you believe I used to have horrible stage fright?? My husband calls me Cookie Monster because I like cookies (ALOT).

Friends, thank you for listening to and purchasing my music. God bless.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_raw_js]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[/vc_raw_js][/vc_column][/vc_row]

An At Home Birth – Special Delivery

An At Home Birth – Special Delivery

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]I wanted to be a Mom. Not badly,  but I knew that I did. After watching the documentary the Business of Being Born, it struck me that I understood two things: I knew nothing about babies and I that there was a maternal longing in me that had gone untapped. I think not ever really considering myself the kind of person who would have kids, the spiritual journey of understanding what being a Mother would mean and the responsibility…there was a natural instinct within me, God given, that wanted to fulfill its part. For you who has been through the journey of giving birth, you too understand that empowerment coupled with the beginning of lifelong concern for another human being. Praise God, I was joining a club!

In comes Sarah Branson, midwife. The end. She was exactly what I did not know I needed! She walked me through, well handheld me through, what could have been a potentially fear filled time. Instead, her expertise and forward outlook steered the pregnancy in a positive direction that I will be forever grateful for. The field of midwifery in my opinion is so much more than the guiding the delivery of babies. It is the compassion and understanding of the pregnancy and delivery process. Yes, not all women have childbirths that are uncomplicated, and Praise God almighty that I did. My experience with her taught me how complex our bodies are, but how we are naturally able to DO. That we are empowered by our Lord to DO and as a Mom, however, Yes, it was painful. I wished that I was one of the unicorns that sneezed delicately in labor and the baby popped out. Yes, it was long, but it was so awe inspiring to know that I had the ability to give birth at home with no medication–what was I thinking?!? I was thinking this was what I felt was best for and the baby. Sarah was there for that and did not try to coerce her views one way or another, as if needed, going to the hospital for delivery was always to the forefront as an option.

I am so thankful to the Lord for my healthy beautiful baby! Praise God.

I am a firm believer in the power of a good book to inspire. Here are some great books that helped me to stay uplifted when fear and discouragement tried to show up:

  1. The Power of Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale
  2. Character Building by Booker T. Washington
  3. Supernatural Childbirth by Jackie Maze
  4. You Were Born Rich by Bob Proctor
  5. Exercising Through Your Pregnancy by James Clapp, III, M.D. and Catherine Crass, M.S.
  6. The Battle Plan for Prayer: From Basic Training to Targeted Strategies by Stephen and Alex Kendrick
  7. Working with the Law by Raymond Halliwell

God bless,
